Lawyers are warning activists to protect themselves (see excerpts from Canary report below) and I’ve seen some strange activity (I’ll get back to this when it makes any god damn sense.)
So, that’s why we are jumping ship. However at present I I'm still using discord to engage with other servers.
Lawyers warn of threat to campaign groups’ confidential data - Canary
Lawyers representing victims of undercover policing say:
“it’s crucial that political protest and campaign groups, such as Extinction Rebellion, don’t assume their data is secure.”

This follows dramatic testimony presented at the Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI). It revealed how undercover officers (UCOs) were able to penetrate a UK-wide political campaign organisation and so gain access to its membership lists.

Home secretary Priti Patel has described activists with the BLM as "criminals".
Greenpeace, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and Extinction Rebellion were listed on a "counter-terrorism" document.

The document was produced by Counter Terrorism Policing and used for training purposes for the Prevent programme, which could be used to justify infiltration.

We had argued for attending protests and such defensive action with equivalent arms - helmet shield, batons -a position complicated by the police being deployed explicitly to defend property - WITH GUNS so…
While it’s them changing the rules of engagement, we aren’t for that - yet.
Militancy has to be considered in the context of the full spectrum of threat.
There must be stakes in which it is fight or be complicit.
This is what it means to be antifascist and this attitude has to be applied to the enemy for whom fascism is tool: Capitalism.
Anticapitalist Activism should be Much like how the three pillars of Antifascist Action To combat it on all sides: street , State and The public space.
The threat Capitalism poses by this Ecocide is existential so these stakes could already be arguable justified, though obviously, not yet wise.
If you are serious about politics you must understand we are running out of time. So we can't hold back we can't take it slow, ease people in, Don’t deny differences, only speak if prepared to fight the issue on the hostile ground, and to convince through argument
