Our response to any of the too many left-wing parties and direct action groups.
We were asked by one of the small left wing parties in the U.K. if we’d like to join and engage and have chosen to share our answer as it applies to any of these small left wing parties/ direct action groups.
Hi, thanks for your message. Ellis and I are encouraged by your efforts.
As for joining we are quite preoccupied with developing a functioning left unity so we are better placed as an outside voice that endorses and supports any good movement that we feel are ultimately compatible.
As anarchists we do not believe we all need to be in one big group with one leader but we at least need a body with clear processes to coordinate aims and means.
We have ideas for a revolutionary council with deliberative democratic processes within each union, party or direct action group that is then deliberated at that council level but leaders/representatives from each organisation.
What we can do that we hope is helpful is linking groups together by highlighting common aims and challenging perceived contradictions.
There is another benefit of our being an outside voice of support. The cops have already been here and raided us (ended with them stealing all our working tech) we also talk more openly than most about the role of violence, which is something that you may not want any official ties to as your aims are to engage with the electoral process.
We will support movements like yours, even if at some point you even need to condemn our proposed means of change. As long as the your ends are still the same as our own, you have our solidarity.
