Police State Bill Passes the House of Commons
With the passage of the #PoliceStateBill we are one step closer to the criminalisation of peaceful resistance.
For this and so many other reasons, key among them the #ClimateEmergency, our only option now is extra parliamentary action.
This is a big part of what we will be setting out soon in a message to @ExtinctionR.
Rebellion is not enough,
what we need is revolution.
We will communicate this in the form of a spoken workforce that will precede a livestream to discuss the subject and our take on it.
Our message also pertains to the role of violence in resistance and within political frameworks generally.
This too has relevance to how we think we should respond to anti democratic measures such as the #PoliceStateBill, the #VoterSuppressionBill and the #WithdrawalActPowerGrab that fundamentally changed the balance of powers in the U.K.
This video will actually be a pretty comprehensive assessment of the strategy pursued by @ExtinctionR and the pretty massive issues with it including the failure of almost every spokesperson they put forward and my pet hate of the #BeyondPolitics bullshit.
Our critique is in good faith and much of it is advice on strategy that should still be considered even within their context of their current stated aims that they assure society are only reformist.
