Angry Young Eyes/Poetic response to Environmentalist Art by Selina Moore

IMG_5350.jpeg

The fumes are thick and the smoke opaque

still, through the fog, one can feel it:

The gaze of posterity penetrates.

Through angry young eyes;

an accusatory stare with deserved disdain.

“How dare you?”

their eyes loudly proclaim.

A cry that cuts through the pollution that plumes and billows from eyes hollow of hope.

It stings her eyes but she will hold this gaze

her generation can’t forget the incubating haze.
