Burning Injustices (Theresa May)

How did she keep that straight face?

Pledging to ease suffering caused

by her Conservative government,

by their own flammable policy,

Lead not by knowledge or need

but by pro profit ideology.

Who needs experts anyway?

She didn't just fail to extinguish,

She exacerbated the flames.

Her premiership had been

gallons of gushing gasoline.

Feeding the ravenous fire

In the forest of public funds

They butchered the trees,

leaving only kindling, killing the green.

Happy to fuck off and frolic away

from perfect conditions for a blaze.

This forest fire of austerity,

that would span the country.

for which all Conservatives have culpability.

See, she was just another tank of Tory fuel,

just another blend of cruel;

transforming burning injustices

into a towering inferno.

- A tower, in inferno.

We all saw the pictures,

the horror seared into the back of our eyes.

Seventy-one, then seventy-two lives.

They burnt and there is no justice.

For the bereaved; no fucking peace.

No accountability scorches their souls

already smouldering with grief.

Politicians like May will always neglect

they will see the ashes and won’t reflect.

Its up to us to put the fire out.
