We
Of course, I can't change the world
with just a poem, or any means,
no one can alone.
I'll tell you a secret though
We can.
the when?
any bloody time we like, -except
only once we know who We are.
Fascism is proof too many can't see yet
I'll tell you what part a poem plays in reality
a kick up the arse of the apathetic
to remind us of our of commonality
and that it's the interests of the rich that are antithetical
to those of most of the human population.
To get you to ask yourself if this system is at all ethical.
Fascism is a tool by the capital elite to divide
us from those with whom we should side.
I'll use the tools of this trade of writing angry poems
to ask why we allow anyone to posses billions. I demand,
You explain how such wealth, in so few hands
doesn't leave, doesn't need,
most of humanity damned
to desperate existence under capitalism.
To be clear, for organised resistance,
Velvet is, of course, my preference.
But be prepared, because should they progress
much further - along that spectrum of threat,
there's only one antifascist reaction:
militancy,
in the name of comradeship and compassion.
