A level U turn.
I’m glad to hear that this awful government made the A Level grading U turn.
Shame on them for the anxiety and stress they made these young people feel.
I’m very relieved to know they now have some more certainty, of course, but I won’t forgive and certainly no one should forget.
So, what would I say to them now?
Well done, you did the bare minimum good thing. That was, of course, after already doing a really bad thing.
That’s it.
That’s all you get.
You recieve no thanks for this because we shouldn’t have had to ask for you not to completely derail the futures of many young people.
I can only imagine the stress they must have felt because of the incompetence, indifference and callousness of this government.
Even the briefest interrogation of the algorithm should have sounded alarms as red flags fill the room.
Either they didn’t look at all or they did, and either, are so out of touch, ignorant and indifferent to the effects of inequity, or, they understood how existing inequalities would be exacerbated by this algorithm and just didn’t care.
There is no analysis that doesnt damn the government: none of those options demonstrate fitness for office and I could honestly believe any of them when it comes to this skipfire government.
