Floods and Failures

Government is indeed failing in the face of these increasingly frequent floods but so is the media.

And if they continue to fail to join the dots, in this Instance, in regards to climate change there is less pressure on government to act.

An example is that I have been reminding the BBC every single time we have seen flooding in the last year that it is a direct consequence of climate change. Once, finally they reacted to the facts I gave and even used my words when they explained the connection.

You can’t imagine how happy I was... for a while. It seems they weren’t aware they were trying to mug off a self appointed BBC Watchdog. Assuming I wouldn’t notice if they simply said it once then failed to repeat the info as the flooding story came back around in the newsreel.

If people aren’t told of the connection they won’t be able to advocate for what they need from government and hold them to account for the failure to mitigate climate change or adapt to damage already done.
